Service options

Team service options

For football, rugby, cricket, hockey, basketball, netball, athletics, cycling and martial arts clubs, plus gyms, schools, colleges and universities. Every option below is quoted individually against your squad size, garment count and fixture pattern. Tell us what you need and we will put it in writing.

Prices, scheduling and turnaround are confirmed in writing before any work is agreed, and are subject to inspection, capacity and quotation.

Why a single arrangement helps

One arrangement instead of a rota nobody wants

Most clubs run kit washing on the goodwill of two or three volunteers. This replaces that with one agreed arrangement for the whole squad.

  • Less burden on volunteers

Players, coaches and parents stop being the laundry rota.

  • One service for the whole load

The complete team load is handled together rather than split across half a dozen households.

  • Clear garment counts

Garments are counted at check-in and checked again before collection, so you know what went in and what came back.

  • Printed and technical garments

Prints, transfers and performance fabrics are treated as things to protect. We identify them at check-in and agree the approach with you.

How team washing works

From enquiry to collection

Team work is quoted first, then booked. Kit is always brought to us and collected in person. We are not set up to receive kit by post or courier, so please do not send it.

  1. Submit your team requirements

Use the form below to tell us about your club, squad size, garment counts and fixture pattern.

  2. Receive a quote or service plan

We come back in writing with pricing and a plan that fits your season. Nothing is committed until you accept it.

  3. Book a drop-off

Once the quote is accepted we agree a drop-off with you and confirm it by email.

  4. Bring labelled kit to The Gear Spa

Bag the kit by squad or age group, label each bag, and bring it to our unit in Louth with your reference.

  5. Kit is counted and checked in

We count the garments with you, record the condition we can see, and note anything already damaged before we start.

  6. Cleaning is completed using the agreed process

The load is processed using the treatment agreed in your quote, matched to the fabrics involved.

  7. Kit is checked, sorted and prepared

Garments are checked against the count taken at check-in and sorted back into your bags or squad groups.

  8. An authorised representative collects

We contact your named club contact, and the order is released to the person or people you have authorised in writing.

Turnaround for team work is agreed in your quote, because it depends on the size of the load, the condition it arrives in and our capacity — subject to inspection, capacity and quotation. For individual services, our standard turnaround is up to 14 days from check-in and acceptance.

Team enquiry

Request a team quote

Tell us about your club and your kit, and we will come back with a written quote and a service plan that fits your fixture list. Have your squad size, approximate garment count, whether names, numbers or sponsor logos are printed, and the day you need the kit back — the more of that you can give us, the more accurate the quote.

  • One point of contact for the whole squad
  • Garment counts recorded at check-in
  • Repeat and seasonal arrangements available
  • Sanitising and deodorising add-on where hygiene matters

We reply to team enquiries by email. Pricing, scheduling and turnaround are confirmed in writing before any work is agreed.

Your club or organisation

Only needed if the quotation should be addressed to someone other than the contact above. Please do not send card or bank details through this form.

Team FAQ

Questions clubs ask us

Not answered here? Ask us directly

Yes. Complete squad loads are what this service is built for — match strips, change kit, training wear, goalkeeper kit, bibs and staff kit. Tell us your squad size and approximate garment count when you enquire and we will quote against it.

Bag the kit by squad, team or age group and label each bag clearly with the club name and the group. If individual garments carry player names or numbers, leave them as they are — we sort against them. Every team booking is given a reference at check-in, recorded against your order and written on your bags, and we agree with you at quotation how squads are kept apart through the process.

We identify them at check-in and agree the approach with you before we start. Heat-applied names, numbers and sponsor transfers can lift or crack in a hot domestic cycle, so we treat them as a known risk area. We cannot restore printing that is already lifting, cracking or peeling, and cleaning can make existing damage more obvious — which is why we point out anything that already looks fragile while you are with us.

Turnaround is agreed in your quote, because it depends on the size of the load, the condition it arrives in and our capacity that week. We do not publish a fixed team turnaround, and we would rather tell you honestly what is achievable than promise a date we cannot hold. Priority turnaround may be possible — ask us, subject to capacity.

Regular in-season arrangements are agreed in writing in advance. Tell us your fixture pattern, the volumes involved and when you need the kit back, and we will build a schedule into your quote. We do not publish a team frequency or turnaround; both are subject to inspection, capacity and quotation.

Yes. Heavy mud and grass are normal for winter pitches and we plan for them. We cannot guarantee that every mark will come out — how long soiling has been left in, and what the fabric is, both make a difference — but ground-in pitch soiling is exactly what the process is set up for.

Yes. Bibs, position markers, training tops, base layers and equipment covers can all be included, either as part of a team load or as their own booking.

Team work is quoted individually rather than sold against a fixed minimum. When you enquire, tell us the squad size and garment count and we will tell you what is workable — subject to inspection, capacity and quotation.

Team pricing is quoted, not listed. It depends on the number of garments, the garment types, the condition the kit arrives in, whether sanitising is added and how often you need the service. You get the price in writing before anything is agreed, and sending an enquiry does not commit you to anything.

To The Gear Spa, Unit 5 Tekori Court, Louth, LN11 0WA. Kit is brought in person — please do not post or courier it to us. We confirm your drop-off time with you by email once your quote is accepted.

The person who booked it, or someone that person has authorised in writing beforehand. For clubs, tell us at drop-off who is allowed to collect and we record it against the booking. We ask whoever collects to quote the order or batch reference.

We record it at check-in, with you there, before anything goes into the process. That record is what we compare against at collection. If we think an item is unsuitable or unsafe to clean, we will say so and set it aside rather than risk it. Cleaning can make existing damage more visible, so it is always better that we both see it at the start.

Before you book

Booking terms at a glance

The short version of how we work, so nothing important is buried in the small print.

  • Booking reserves a service

Paying online reserves your cleaning service. It does not buy a physical product, and nothing is sent to you. Kit is brought in and collected in person.

  • You can cancel within 14 days

Because you book online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking. If you ask us to begin within those 14 days you may be charged for the work already done, and the right ends once the service is fully performed.

  • Reasonable care and skill

We carry out every service with reasonable care and skill. Items are inspected before we accept them, and treatment begins only once an item has been assessed and accepted.

  • What cleaning cannot promise

Cleaning cannot guarantee that every stain or odour is removed, and existing damage can become more visible. Age, wear, weakened fibres, failed seam tape, deteriorated coatings, loose trims, degraded adhesives, peeling prints and previous repairs can all affect the result.

  • What we need from you

Tell us about known defects and previous repairs, empty every pocket and remove valuables before you arrive. We may decline an item we consider unsuitable or unsafe to process, and we will explain why.

  • If something goes wrong

Where an item is lost or damaged because we failed to perform the service with reasonable care and skill, or failed to take reasonable care of it while it was with us, our liability is the item's fair market value. In any other case our liability is capped, but never at less than the price you paid for the service.

  • Booking for a club

If you are an individual booking on behalf of an amateur club, school or voluntary organisation, that alone does not make you a business customer, and your consumer rights are not affected.

  • Collection

Kit is released to the person who booked it, or to someone that person has authorised in writing beforehand. Tell us at drop-off who is authorised to collect and we record it against the booking.

Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights as a consumer or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The full terms are in our service terms, and these terms are being reviewed by a qualified adviser before launch.

What happens on arrival

Bring your order number. We check the item in with you, record its condition, and treatment begins once it has been assessed and accepted. Please do not post or courier items to us.

We contact you when your item is ready. Items are collected in person by you or by someone you have authorised in writing.

What to bring

  • Your order number or booking confirmation
  • The item or items listed on the booking
  • Any care labels or manufacturer instructions you still have
  • Details of known stains, damage or previous repairs

How to prepare your items

  • Empty every pocket and remove valuables, keys and electronics
  • Remove detachable accessories you do not want treated, such as fur trims or liners
  • Do not attempt to pre-treat stains with household chemicals
  • Tell us about previous repairs, re-waterproofing or home washing
  • For team kit, bag it by squad or age group and label the bag

What happens at check-in

  1. We confirm the item matches your booking and count the pieces.
  2. We record the condition we can see, including existing marks, damage and previous repairs.
  3. We check pockets and hand back anything left inside.
  4. We review care labels and material information with you.
  5. We confirm the treatment you have booked is the right one.
  6. We explain any risks specific to your item, and you confirm you are happy to proceed.
  7. Once the item is accepted, it goes into the process and the turnaround clock starts.

If we cannot accept an item

We may decline an item that is unsuitable or unsafe to process — for example where contamination, structural failure or material breakdown means treatment would risk damage. We will explain why at check-in, suggest an alternative where there is one, and refund the booking for any item we decline before treatment begins.

Who can collect

Items are released to the person who booked them, or to someone that person has authorised in writing before collection. For clubs and organisations, tell us at drop-off who is authorised to collect, and we will record it against the booking. We ask collectors to quote the order number.

Ready when you are

Give us the kit. Give the volunteers their time back.

Tell us your squad size, garment count and fixture pattern, and we will come back with a written quote.
