These details let us confirm the right process before you arrive. Everything is checked again with you at drop-off.

Please choose the type of item you are booking in.

Please tell us the main problem or treatment required.

A preference, not a confirmed appointment — we confirm the time with you before you visit.

Please choose a preferred drop-off date.

Helpful but not required — we go through the item with you at check-in and record its condition together.

After you book, bring your item to The Gear Spa with your order number. We check it in with you, record its condition, and treatment begins once it has been assessed and accepted.

We work with reasonable care and skill, but cleaning cannot guarantee that every stain or odour will be removed, and existing wear can become more visible. We record your item's condition with you at check-in and explain any specific risks before we begin.

What’s included

  • A professional dry sterilise and deodorise treatment for one pair of casual footwear.
  • Interior sanitising that reaches linings, insoles, padding and stitching without liquid saturation.
  • Deodorising that neutralises sweat, damp and storage-related odours at their source.
  • Footwear handed back hygienically refreshed and ready to wear.

Suitable for

  • Everyday trainers and casual footwear
  • Leather shoes and boots
  • Fabric, canvas and mesh footwear
  • Padded footwear with linings and insoles that hold odour
  • Footwear not suited to conventional washing

Not suitable for

  • Footwear with irreparable structural damage such as split soles or failed bonding
  • Items that are heavily soiled or contaminated in a way we are unable to accept
  • Footwear that needs a full liquid clean rather than dry sanitising
  • Materials already breaking down through prolonged damp or mould

The specialist process

Each pair is treated with a professional dry sanitising process that works without liquid washing, so there is no saturation and no risk of material distortion. The process targets odour-causing bacteria, fungi and mould within linings, insoles and padding, reaching the internal areas where odour tends to build.

We then deodorise to break down sweat, damp and storage-related odours at their source, returning your footwear hygienically refreshed and ready to wear.

Will this treatment damage leather or delicate uppers? p>No. Because we sanitise and deodorise dry, without liquid saturation, there is no soaking that could distort or mark leather, fabric or mesh. The process is designed for footwear that is not suited to a conventional wash./p>

Does it remove surface dirt and scuffs? p>This is a hygiene treatment rather than a valet. It targets odour-causing bacteria, fungi and mould and neutralises odour inside the footwear, so heavy surface dirt, stains and scuffs are not the focus of this service./p>

Which footwear is it suitable for? p>Everyday trainers, leather shoes, boots and fabric footwear, including padded styles with linings and insoles that tend to trap odour./p>
