Helpful but not required — we go through the item with you at check-in and record its condition together.

After you book, bring your item to The Gear Spa with your order number. We check it in with you, record its condition, and treatment begins once it has been assessed and accepted.

We work with reasonable care and skill, but cleaning cannot guarantee that every stain or odour will be removed, and existing wear can become more visible. We record your item's condition with you at check-in and explain any specific risks before we begin.

What’s included

A dry, controlled sanitising and deodorising treatment for your removable ski boot liners, working through the padding rather than sitting on the surface.

  • Professional dry sanitising process that targets and reduces odour-causing bacteria, fungi and mould within foam and fabric
  • Deodorising that neutralises sweat, damp and long-term storage odours at their source
  • Treatment that reaches dense padding and internal layers a surface spray cannot
  • Liners handled separately from the boot shell to protect structural components and fit systems

Suitable for

  • Removable alpine ski boot liners
  • Touring boot liners
  • Snowboard boot liners
  • Foam-padded liners holding sweat, damp or storage odours
  • Liners unsuited to conventional washing

Not suitable for

  • Rigid boot shells, buckles or fit-system hardware — we treat removable liners only
  • Liners that cannot be removed from the boot shell
  • Liners with irreparable damage such as delaminated foam or torn fabric
  • Items with contamination we are unable to accept

The specialist process

We treat removable liners only. Once your liners arrive they are assessed and processed apart from the boot shell using a dry sanitising method — no liquid washing — so dense foam and internal layers are sanitised and deodorised without saturation or risk to shell components.

The process targets and reduces odour-causing bacteria, fungi and mould and breaks down trapped sweat and damp odours, returning the liners hygienically refreshed and ready for the next season.

Do you treat the whole boot? p>No — we treat removable liners only. Processing the liner separately from the shell protects buckles, fit systems and structural components during handling./p>

Will my liners be washed or soaked? p>No. This is a dry sanitising and deodorising process with no liquid saturation, which is why it suits liners that cannot take a conventional wash./p>

Which boot liners can you treat? p>Removable alpine, touring and snowboard boot liners in technical textile and foam padding./p>
