Suitable for
- Standard high-vis work trousers in fluorescent yellow or orange
- Insulated, lined and waterproof-lined high-vis trousers
- Over-trousers and multi-pocket or holster-pocket site trousers
- Trousers with sewn-on or heat-applied reflective strips
- Trousers carrying ingrained dirt, mud, dust, oil or grease
- Everyday work trousers that have dulled and need a thorough refresh
Not suitable for
- Trousers whose reflective tape is already lifting, cracked or peeling away
- Garments with irreparable rips, blown seams or failed zips that washing cannot restore
- Items contaminated with hazardous substances such as chemicals, solvents, asbestos or biohazards, which we are unable to accept
- Heavily fuel- or oil-soaked trousers where residue may be reduced but not fully lifted
- High-vis jackets or vests, which are better matched to their own dedicated service
The specialist process
- Choose your service — pick the treatment that matches your item.
- Give us the details — item type, the main problem, and anything we should know.
- Book and pay — payment reserves your cleaning service.
- Bring it in — bring the item to The Gear Spa with your order number. Please do not post or courier it.
- Check-in and acceptance — we record its condition with you and explain any specific risks. Treatment starts once the item is accepted.
- Collect — we contact you when it is ready, and you collect it in person.
Where: Unit 5 Tekori Court, Louth, LN11 0WA. Please bring your item in person. We are not set up to receive items by post or courier and cannot guarantee anyone will be available to accept a delivery, so please do not send items to us. If an item does reach us that way we will contact you and agree what happens next.
When: We confirm your drop-off time with you by email after you book.
Turnaround: Up to 14 days from the date your item is checked in and accepted The clock starts at acceptance, not at booking.
Collection: We contact you when your item is ready. Items are collected in person by you or by someone you have authorised in writing.
Faster? Priority turnaround may be available on request for eligible items, subject to capacity — email support@thegearspa.co.uk before booking.
We carry out every service with reasonable care and skill, and we inspect each item before we accept it.
- Cleaning cannot guarantee that every stain or odour will be removed.
- Existing damage can become more visible after cleaning.
- Age, wear, weakened fibres, failed seam tape, deteriorated coatings, loose trims, degraded adhesives, peeling prints and previous repairs can all affect the result.
- Please disclose known defects and previous repairs, and empty all pockets before you arrive.
- We may decline an item we consider unsuitable or unsafe to process, and we will explain why.
- If we find that different or additional work is needed, we will ask you before doing it.
